On May 10, in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, a tournament was held in memory of the benefactor Vasily Andreevich Balta and on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany. Boxers from the following cities took part in the competition: Nizhnekamsk, Menzelinsk, Almetyevsk, Elabuga, Mendeleevsk, Naberezhnye Chelny.
Together with local athletes, residents of Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk participated in the competition. Three representatives of the sports club "Neftekhimik" won in their weight categories, one took 2nd place.
1st place – Alexey Elagin (w/c 38 kg), Danil Chebyshev (w/c 48 kg), Mansur Makhiyanov (w/c 50 kg)
2nd place – Musa Makhiyanov (w/c 46 kg)
Nizhnekamsk boxers are trained by the Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Anatoly Pushkanov.
The Yelabuga team was represented by pupils of Secondary School No.2. Coaches: Alexander Mikhailovich Maksyutin, Airat Albertovich Askhamov and Ramil Foatovich Bariev.
According to the results of the competition:
1st place was taken by Anatoly Antipov in the weight category up to 50 kg
2nd places were taken by Danil Bryukhanov, Alexey Alekseev, Farit Karimov, Vadim Petrov, Stanislav Krasnov and Dinar Romanov.
The confrontation between the united team Nizhnekamsk-Yelabuga and the Chelny team, unlike in previous years, ended in favor of the Chelny team – the ring owners – 8:5.
The finalists were awarded with diplomas, medals and cash prizes.
