The new economic reality opens up new perspectives. Concepts such as "scrap baling press" and "large-scale metal-working production" are returning to the realities of our country again.

Over the past ten years, the competition in the domestic metal processing market has been carried out mainly by small and medium-sized players, who are less demanding in terms of basic equipment costs and are more flexible in terms of interruptions in raw materials. Now the old giants are starting to come back online. Large technological areas, transport interchanges and convenient logistics in market conditions turn out to be the advantage that ultimately becomes a decisive reason for the further operation of such enterprises and pays off the investment in replacing equipment with new economical and productive models.
Even the statistics of the sanctioned 2014 show a small (3-8 percent) increase in the production of metal products and metal in general. In the first months of 2015, there is also a positive trend. So the re-equipment of large enterprises is becoming a fairly promising business.
Talk about the possibility of restarting large bases (such as Vtorchermetov) in different regions has been heard for a long time. So back in 2008, this topic was raised at a round table on the Russian market of scrap processing equipment by representatives of European companies.
Given the instability of the current political environment, the risks associated with contracts for large supplies of European equipment have grown significantly. And, drawing up business plans for the re-equipment of metalworking enterprises, more and more entrepreneurs are guided by the installation of domestically produced equipment. Fortunately, Russian manufacturers (in particular, the Baltapress company) can present units that are not inferior in technical characteristics to European counterparts. Moreover, the attention of the customer is presented, both ready-made sets of press-shears, and individual projects that meet the specific needs of the customer.
The main impetus for the restart of large production facilities is auto recycling, which guarantees the loading of equipment in the absence of other primary material, and, accordingly, its payback. Here, the new metal processing equipment is almost irreplaceable: it guarantees compliance with the final standards for sorting, size and type of the final briquette.
Economic indicators are a strong argument in favor of replacing old equipment. For example, press-shears "Baltapress" with the same performance as the old Soviet press-shears, consume on average 3 times less energy and are controlled by one operator, and with the possibility of remote control. In aggregate, this, on the one hand, increases the productivity of the direct-flow production line by 10-30 percent, on the other hand, it reduces the cost of the final product by 10-30 percent, compared to some Soviet models. The final economic gain can be significantly larger (data varies according to the models chosen, the age of the old model and other factors).
The last argument in favor of replacement, of course, is the guarantee, and ideally, leasing programs. For example, Baltapress offers a minimum of 1 year warranty in combination with personnel training, as well as constant technical support for the equipment sold with timely delivery of the necessary spare parts. Baltapress leasing programs are supported by cooperation with Europlan, VTB24 Leasing and RMB-Leasing, depending on the client's preferences. Each of these companies makes it possible to obtain equipment and operate it immediately, without waiting for the mythical “tomorrow will be better”.
Production must work and be profitable! It has been proven: you cannot wait for better times, you need to do them yourself. Now is the best moment to restart a big business: state support, several targeted programs and, most importantly, an unoccupied place in the market niche. We must start!
